David and Emily created Green to combine their love of coffee with a mission of helping people offset their carbon footprint through drinking coffee. Both David and Emily have had a passion for coffee from a young age. After visiting coffee plantations in Central America they decided to start their own business with a social element. They came up with the idea of planting a tree for each pound of coffee they sold. Emily is currently pursuing her Master's degree at Harvard University's Extension School in Sustainability and Environmental Management and through that she has learned about the impact agriculture and coffee can have on the environment. Instead of giving up coffee, they wanted to create 'Green', a coffee that gives back.
